Please read the following important information.
All DUG policies are adopted in consideration of and, in the best interest of conference attendees, DUG and the conference host facility.
| Purchase Orders
The Datatel Users' Group requests users not register for DUG using purchase orders. However, users may contact Debbie Kennedy, DUG Registrar, dak@datatel.com, to discuss extenuating circumstances and determine a solution. If the purchase order approval is granted, please note that any such registrations will not be eligible to receive the special Early Bird* registration rate. Purchase order registrations will be processed at the Regular or Late registration rate depending on when they are received.
* The Early Bird rate is reserved for users that register and pay for their registration(s) before the Early Bird deadline and is therefore not available for anyone using a purchase order. This policy has been established by the DUG Governing Board.
| Refunds
All registration fees are subject to a $25 processing fee. A full refund will be issued if WRITTEN notification is postmarked, faxed or e-mailed to the Users’ Group Registrar no later than February 15, 2002. A 70% refund will be issued if notification is received in the same manner, between February 16, 2002 and March 15, 2002. No refunds will be issued for no-shows or for cancellations received after March 15, 2002.
| Registration Policy and Liability Waiver
The planners and sponsors of this function claim no liability for the acts of any suppliers to this meeting, nor for the safety of any attendee while in transit to or from this event. The planners and sponsors reserve the right to cancel this function without penalty. Attendees who purchase non-refundable airline tickets do so at their own risk. The total amount of any liability of the planners and sponsors will be limited to a refund of the attendance fee. Recognizing the nature of receptions and the potential for alcohol abuse at conferences, all Datatel and Datatel Users’ Group sponsored events will offer non-alcoholic drinks. No alcohol will be served to anyone under the age of 21. Conference participants are responsible for their own well being and neither Datatel, the Datatel Users’ Group, the planners or sponsors will be held accountable for any events or occurrences resulting from excessive drinking, recklessness or negligence on the part of any conference participant(s). Furthermore, you agree not to allow any other individual to participate in your place either at the conference, during the registration process, or any other conference-related activity including acceptance of these terms of registration.
| Photographs
Any photos taken at the conference by the DUG organization may be used in conference collateral, appearing either in printed documents or in DUG related web sites. Participants are reminded of this condition of registration here and we appreciate your consent to use these photos for the purpose of sharing and promoting the conference. Your signature on your conference registration form acknowledges acceptance of these terms and provisions of registration.
| Smoking
For the comfort and health of all attendees, smoking is not permitted at any Datatel Users’ Group or Datatel sponsored functions. This includes general sessions, concurrent sessions, workshops, luncheons, receptions and in the exhibit hall. You may smoke in designated areas located in the conference facilities. Attendees should adhere to any signage preventing or authorizing smoking in certain locations.
| Children
Because of the nature of the DUG conference, children under the age of 18 are not permitted access to DUG conference sessions, meals or social events. Additionally, no one under the age of 21 will be served alcohol at DUG events and attendees may be asked to produce identification to confirm your age.
| Badges
Conference attendees are reminded that it is important to wear your badges at all times. This allows you uncomplicated access to all conference events.
| Non-Member Registration
Membership to the Datatel Users' Group is defined as employees of Datatel Clients.
Independent contractors, consultants, vendors and third party organizations and their representatives are considered NON-MEMBERS and are required to follow established non-member registration procedures.
To register for the 2002 DUG Conference & Expo as a non-member, please contact Debbie Kennedy, DUG Conference Registrar, at dak@datatel.com or 800.328.2835, Extension 6.
Exhibiting vendors may register using the exhibitor registration form mailed under separate cover.
| Conference Etiquette
To make the conference experience an enjoyable event for all attendees, we ask that you please keep the following in mind:
- As a courtesy to our speakers, please refrain from the use of pagers or cell phones during presentations. And, please keep in mind that participants of this conference are in attendance to learn. Therefore, in consideration of all attendees we ask that you please take any conversations that are unrelated to the program outside session rooms.
- In order to accommodate environmental sensitivities of some of your peers, if at all possible, please do not wear scented products while attending the conference, especially the sessions. Please also consider that moderation and restraint in the use of perfume, cologne or scented products in sessions and events greatly enhances the ability of individuals who suffer from chemical sensitivities, such as MCS, to fully participate in this valuable educational forum.
