Thanks to everyone that completed the 2010 Conference Survey. Your input will help us present a more
ValUable conference in 2011.
Wow! Our annual conference keeps getting better every year. A total of 1,661 clients attended DUG 2010 – up from 1,531 last year. Participants came from 45 states and four Canadian provinces, representing 364 institutions from as near as Washington, DC, and as far away as Guam.
As promised, the focus of DUG 2010 was all about value. And value is what we delivered! Attendees jumped at countless opportunities to soak up knowledge at nearly 300 different sessions and special events. The Conference also featured technology experts and business professionals from Datatel and dozens of other institutions, 30 of whom set up shop in the Exhibit Hall.
This year’s Executive Forum was extraordinary! More than 150 executives from 121 unique institutions took part, along with 40 Datatel executives and senior managers, plus representatives from Microsoft and other strategic partners.
Everywhere you turned there was something new and exciting to discover. The Leading and Managing People and Processes (LMP) Track made its debut, along with the new Teaching and Learning (TL) Track. We also rolled out a new online registration system managed by MRA Services. And four new and migrated CATs came together for the first time.
The Datatel FaceBook and DUG 2010 Twitter sites were buzzing 24/7, and we posted a bunch of great videos on YouTube – be sure to check them out at www.youtube.com/datatelvideos. More than 450 iPhone and iPod touch users downloaded the hugely popular DUG 2010 Mobile App to navigate their way around the Conference. And the new DUG Collector pins also made a big splash! Remember to show them off at next year’s Conference, and be prepared for lots of new ones at DUG 2011. (We may need bigger lanyards.)
We extend a special thanks to Amanda Gore – who did a fabulous job motivating and entertaining us at both the Opening General Session and the Capstone Address. We also greatly appreciate the support of the 14 generous sponsors who helped make DUG 2010 possible.
We look forward to doing it all again next year at the Gaylord National Resort & Convention Center. Block off March 6-9 on your 2011 calendar.
See You Next Year!
