Dan Brown’s Lost Symbol Tour
:
Based on Dan Brown’s third novel in his best-selling series, you will witness protagonist Robert Landgon’s thrilling Washington-based adventure in his quest to identify the symbol that will unlock the Ancient Mysteries - guarded for centuries by the freemasons and hidden right here in the nation's capitol! You will visit the locations that are central to
“Lost Symbol”,
following Langdon’s path as he solves the mystery. This highly customized tour will be led by one of Washington’s most well-versed guides who, along with an extensive knowledge of the city, is also a fan of Dan Brown and his ode to its most beloved memorials and museums. Your tour will begin at the
US Capitol
where you will visit Statuary Hall, located in the Rotunda, and gaze upon Brumidi’s
The Apotheosis of Washington
where the novel’s suspense begins. You will then pass through the underground tunnel that connects the Capitol with the
Library of Congress
. There you will view the Main Reading Room, where the Architect of the Capitol initially takes Landgon to make his getaway. You will then walk down Capitol Hill and past the
United States Botanical Garden
where in the novel the Architect of the Capitol is brought to meet with the CIA. You will reboard the motor coach and continue to the
House of the Temple
which is the headquarters of the Scottish Rite of Freemasonry. Afterwards, you will continue your driving tour along Massachusetts Avenue, through Embassy Row, to
Washington National Cathedral.
You will return to the National Mall and past the
Washington Monument
where the Lost Symbol is
possibly
buried in the monument’s cornerstone. You will continue past
Freedom Plaza
before the tour ends.
Monuments by Moonlight Tour descripton
:
Tonight it’s first class treatment as you board our luxury motor coach for a moonlit tour of our capital city. Throughout your drive, an expert CSI tour guide will regale you with tales of trivia of the nation’s capital. This evening’s tour will be even more special as you will have your own tuxedoed waiter onboard serving gourmet chocolates, champagne, and sparkling water throughout the tour which will begin after your attendees have had dinner on their own.
Your tour will begin with a drive past Capitol Hill where the US Capitol is illuminated against the sky as the sun sets. You will continue down Constitution Avenue past Washington’s architecturally magnificent museums and federal buildings. Your first stop will be at
Lafayette Square
, which offers a superb view of the White House. You will then pass the Tidal Basin along the Potomac River to see the famed Japanese cherry trees as you make your way to the beautifully illuminated
Jefferson Memorial
. Here you will have the opportunity to climb the marble steps to the temple that houses a breathtaking statue of our third President. Next you will stop at the
Franklin Delano Roosevelt Memorial,
a 7½-acre walking memorial that also lies adjacent to the Tidal Basin. A true work of architectural genius, this landmark is one of Washington’s most popular attractions. No tour of Washington would be complete without passing by the National World War II Memorial. The memorial honors the 16 million who served in the armed forces of the U.S. during World War II. Your final stop will be at the
Lincoln Memorial
, where you will climb the marble steps to the temple that enshrines Abraham Lincoln. From there, you will encounter the view that has marked many historic moments from our country’s past as, from its elevated position, you can see down the National Mall all the way to the US Capitol.
